Coffee Table

Hello!

Hope all of my Aussie readers had a great Australia Day on Thursday. I have been flat out busy socialising and working on my house. Fortunately, I have a week off, the week after next to get some gardening done!

At the moment, I have no coffee table. Until you have no coffee table, you don't realise how much you use your coffee table. Coffee table. See how much I'm missing one? It's all I can write about.

Anyway, I have bitten the bullet and ordered the Freedom Drum Table. Apparently, it is the most popular item in the Freedom range and I have to wait for another five weeks! Five weeks!

I went searching the net to find images of styling of the Drum Table.

I came across the cute blog - Angry Brain (doesn't sound that cute - but it is!)

Moroccan Tray Tables

Hi readers!

I had a massive weekend. We had our work Christmas Party on Saturday night in Sydney. We did an Amazing Race style 'race' around the historic Rocks area of Sydney. It was so much fun!

Today though, I'm posting about moroccan tray tables. I have my eye on one for my lounge area in the new house.

Ethnicraft

Sorry for the late post this week, but my poor little cat has been really sick. I have just gotten back from taking her to the vet for a second time in two days. Poor thing, I didn't even realize that she had been sick for so long! I'm such a bad mother...Josie is on the mend though - thank goodness!

Today I'm going to share my little internet find - Ethnicraft. In my search for the perfect dining table I came across the Belgium-made furniture. My favourites are all of the teak wood pieces. So beautiful!

The Block 2011

I'm an avid watcher of 'The Block'. For non-Aussies, this is a show where four couples each renovate a completely run-down, bull-dozerable (I don't think that is a word...anyway) house.

My favourite house was definitely Josh and Jenna's, even though I found them extremely painful!

Below are some of my favourite rooms from the show...

Last night, was the finale, where all of the houses were expected to sell at auction. Only one did - Polly and Waz's - my least favourite (although I did really like them as a couple!). So disappointing and such a let down! I was very upset for all of the couples that didn't sell...

Closets...

Hello and happy Monday!

I had a fairly eventful weekend...my car broke down on a busy highway! Thankfully I could turn and park on a side street...I think it's time for me and my little car to part ways!

Anyways, I'm currently in the middle of planning a built in closet for my new house. It won't be a walk-in unfortunately (I won't have room), but I'm planning on putting in shelving for shoes, bags etc.

I have been absolutely flat out busy of late. Between work, catching up with friends and researching furniture, blinds etc for the new house.

I thought I would provide you with some interior eye candy this morning...My favourite from the latest Adore Magazine.

How amazing is the artwork? I love this place and it's use of colour and interesting materials. It's such a nice contrast to the sleekness of the apartment. And I love me a bit of Ikat too!
