Autumn Racing Fashion

Hello again,

Well, over the Easter long weekend, I'm heading to the races. For those of you not from Australia, the Autumn and Spring Carnivals are huge on the social scene.

I've been researching some of the current looks for this year. It's all about Mad Men fashion.

I'm thinking a black mid-length skirt, fuschia top, black booties and a black pill box hat.

Have you been to the races recently?

Autumn Fashion

Ugh! The weather has been terrible in Sydney of late. It has been raining for weeks and weeks. This year summer has been a big disappointment. So, I'm moving on to Autumn fashion.

The following are on my wish list -

Cape - Laura Maidment, Pants - Witchery, Shoes - Wittner (on sale!)

What are you coveting for the new season???

Polyvore

So, I apologise for my severe lack of blogging of late. There has been a major family illness, but all seems good now.

But, in hospital waiting rooms, I have re-discovered the joys of polyvore. Instead of just looking at other peoples sets though, I have created one of my own. See below -
I have just hit 'buy' on the fab Gorman and Castle top. I have loved it for ages and it is now on sale! Hooray!

The link to this set is here. Are you on polyvore?

Anthropologie New Arrivals

Happy Monday people!

I apologise for my absence last week, I'm trying to get back in to the regular blogging routine.

Over the weekend, I made the mistake of visiting the Anthropologie website. I'm in love with all of the new arrivals! My favourites are below...

My poor bank balance! I love all of the above - I'm going to have to wait for a sale!

Honey and Beau LOVE!

Happy Hump Day,

On the weekend, I visited a local boutique - one of my fav's that stocks the Aussie brand Honey and Beau. I love this brand! So feminine, but a bit funky too!

These two dresses are my favourites from the latest summer range...

What do you think? I'd love to pull the trigger on one of these maxi's!

Love this style

Happy hump day!

Just a quick fashion post for this morning. I think I have mentioned that I love Lucy Laucht's style. Well, I LOVE the outfit below so much, I'm going to try to recreate it!

Do you read fashion blogs? My favourites are My Style Pill and of course Lucy Laucht. I love these blogs because they feature 'high street' fashion instead of high end designers. Much more affordable for ordinary folk like me!

Spring/Summer Fashion

Hi everyone,

I'm in a world of pain as I type this. This morning I completed a grueling 40 minute boxing session at the gym! I can hardly move!

All for a good cause though - trying to 'shape up' for summer. I have already purchased two new dresses for the coming party season.

I purchased the above dress from Portmans a couple of weeks ago. I just love it! It is really pretty and very versatile!

I was inspired by the lovely Christina from My Style Pill with her beautiful blue dress. I managed to purchase a similar blue maxi for $30 from Ally. I'm now on the hunt for some similar bling!

What have been your latest purchases? Have snagged a bargain?

30 for 30 Remix Challenge

So, with the impending house sale/buying/building and severe lack of funds, I've decided to take on Kendi Everyday's 30 for 30 remix challenge. Because I wear a uniform to work, most of my remixed outfits will happen on the weekend. Should be an interesting challenge! Especially since it is still quite warm here and we will be moving in to Autumn/Winter - an extra challenge to choose items that are versatile in all seasons!

If you would like to join me in this challenge, please let me know!

In Australia we are transitioning in to Autumn and Winter, but I'm still not ready to give up the warm weather and breezy summer clothes. The Anthropologie Spring Arrivals have just been posted on their website and there are some beauties! BHLDN

Probably every blogger on earth is posting about BHLDN (pronounced Beholden). It is Urban Outfitters new online store specifically for weddings. It is also the sister store of my favourite Anthropologie.
Now, I'm not really interested in getting married anytime soon, but these dresses are breathtaking. In the online store, there are wedding dresses, shoes and accessories. There are also bridesmaid and wedding guest dresses. Below are some of my favourites!

Fun in the City

On Saturday night, I went on a 'hens night' (or bachelorette party) in Sydney. We had dinner first at a restaurant and then hopped on a beautiful boat to cruise the harbour. It was such a fabulous night out! I still believe that Sydney is the most beautiful city in the world!
Below is my outfit for the evening. I wouldn't normally wear yellow, but I love the fit and design of this dress!

Dress - Bluejuice
Belt - From the Time Gone By Dress (Anthropologie)
Ring and necklace - Bought from a little jewelry shop for my birthday!
Shoes - BonBons

Our lovely boat for the evening

The beautiful Opera House...

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Another Xmas Party Outfit

Hi readers!

Last weekend I had another xmas party. This one was for the whole company I work for. It was a really fun night filled with champagne, cocktails and dancing! The following is the outfit I wore for the night. The theme was 'Christmas in the City' (sort of like Sex and the City).

I love this ring - It complemented my outfit perfectly!

Hope you are all surviving the Christmas rush!

Christmas Party!

Ok finally got around to posting this week. I've been really busy on my holidays! I've just gotten back from my work Xmas Party. We had a fabulous time at the races (horse races for non-Aussies). The races in Australia in Spring are THE place to be and be seen! In my home town we have a local race track and it is a fabulous day out. Plenty of champagne, food and a bit of gambling thrown in! Anyway here is my outfit for the day. I wore the fabulous Babergh dress from Anthropologie, a flower headband/fascinator, Diana Ferrari satin pink bow shoes and the jewelry is by me! It is from the Vintage Chic range.

Close ups of my jewelry! What are you doing for your work Xmas Party - I'd love to hear about it!
