Markets

Image by Scott Brown. Finders Keepers Market

Happy Sunday!

I have had quite a busy weekend completing errands. I managed to squeeze in a quick visit to a handmade market. I love going to markets! I always manage to pick up a unique piece of jewelry/artwork/piece of clothing/gift!

I have been thinking lately about having my own stall. It's a BIG step! Some friends have been encouraging me to go for it, but I'm not so sure. It's one thing to have an online shop selling bits and pieces - but a lot of preparation goes in to having enough stock to sell in a whole stall! Also, I have my own issues with putting my work 'out there'. What if no one wants to buy anything? What if people hate my work? I'm a bit apprehensive!

Have you had a market stall? I'd love to hear about your experiences!

  1. I had a "stall" until the crafting store closed down due to the owners moving back to California.

I loved it. Made money evry month!

    Go for it!

    Have a wonderful day!

  2. Do it or you'll never know! The most successful people take risks...

  3. Do it! I am going to sign up for several craft fairs and art shows this fall/holiday time. I am nervous because I have never done it, but there is no way to grow my business without taking risks.

Best of luck to you! Post if you decide to do it. It's great to learn from other's successes and mistakes. :)

  4. I'm as skeptical as you are about getting my own stall at a market. Right now I'm trying to perfect some items and make more, so maybe I'll be ready for a market eventually :)

I think you've got some really great items and I think you would do great at a handmade market!

    Good luck!
